On Wed, Jan. 31st. Congressman Jamaal Bowman presents his resolution platforming Journey for Justice Alliance’s Equity or Else Platform. The congressman will introduce this resolution on the eve of Black History Month, to celebrate the rich history, culture, and long struggle for justice created and experienced by Black Americans. This will be an opportunity for those of us that stand for equity, year-round, to raise it as a priority that Congress should be devoted to. 

We will convene grassroots leaders from across the U.S. along with elected officials to build support for the Equity or Else federal resolution and advancing federal anti-racist policy guided by the EOE Quality of Life Platform.  We will hold the summit at Insight (former Mercy) Hospital, which was saved from closure by the Chicago  Health Equity Coalition.

Launching in October 2023, the Equity or Else Power Series is a monthly virtual town hall that centers a QOL area, grassroots groups that have built power around that issue; and getting further input on the QOL Platform The Power Series will run monthly until July 2024: this is a transformative series aimed at igniting change, fostering collaboration, and inspiring grassroots organizations to become catalysts for progress in their communities, building momentum for community based activities during the Democratic National Convention in August 2024.
